Kianna Woods is an Associate Attorney at Schafer McMahon. She is licensed in both California and Nevada, as well as in the Central District of California. Kianna has several years of experience as an Associate Attorney in civil litigation.
Kianna earned her J.D. from Western State College of Law. At Western State, Kianna was invited to law review after her 1L year based on academic merit. In her 2L year, she was on the Dean’s List based on her GPA and became a Dean’s Fellow to assist in mentoring the incoming 1L students. During Kianna’s 3L year, she served on the Law Review Executive Board as Editor of Student Articles.
Kianna was the President of Western State’s Entertainment and Sports Law Society, was Parliamentarian of the Black Law Student Association, and sat on the Board of Western State’s Student Body Association. Kianna received the Witkin Award for the top grade in her Introduction to Law School class out of her cohort. Finally, she graduated Cum Laude from Western State in 2019.
Prior to law school, Kianna earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Soka University of America (“SUA”)-a private university in Aliso Viejo. Kianna attended SUA on a Track and Field Scholarship, as well as a Merit Scholarship. In her third year of undergrad, Kianna traveled to the Dominican Republic for study abroad in further pursue of her undergraduate degree and to expand her ability to speak and comprehension of Spanish. She graduated Cum Laude from SUA as a full time student-athlete, working part time and maintaining teaching Latin dance as the president of the campus Salsa club for 3 years before graduating.
Kianna is a California native and has lived up and down the southern coast of the Golden State. In her spare time, Kianna enjoys dancing Bachata, traveling the globe, and spending time with friends, family, and her Aussie-Doodle, Onyx.
